Guitar lessons.  Guitar performance.

Thinking about taking guitar lessons?

I have been teaching guitar since 1996.  In that time, I have taught students in 3 states.  I have served on the faculty of 5 private academies and 3 colleges, often concurrently.  I am now the owner of my own private academy in Broomfield, CO.

I earned my Master of Music degree in classical guitar from the prestigious music program at the University of North Texas.  I teach all skill levels and all styles.  In addition to private lessons, I offer small group lessons, and online lessons. Further details are below, but for pricing information please contact me by phone or email, as rates may sometimes change for new incoming students.

Private lessons:  Typically 30 to 60 minutes per lesson, once per week.  You will have access to help from me all week long by phone or through email.  I encourage my private students to ask questions between lessons.  I'm your teacher all week, not just during your lesson.
I taylor the lessons to the individual, but I always include music theory and emphasize strong technique in my methods.

Group lessons:  A good option for parent / child tandem lessons.  This can make for a fun family activity and will save you money over what you would spend for each family member to have private lessons.  Kids between age 6 and 10 do very well in small group lessons.  I offer the KidTunes guitar method, where up to 4 kids have a weekly lesson together.  This is also less expensive than private lessons, and might be more fun for kids who like the peer interaction and ability to compete with their friends.

Online lessons:  Technology has finally reached the point where most people have the ability to use this approach effectively.   If you have a broadband internet connection, a reasonably fast computer, and a webcam, online private lessons are a good option for you.  You will receive live, one on one instruction from me without having to leave your home.  Is it effective?  Yes it is!  This is something that is relatively new but is catching on quickly.  Some of the benefits of this option are...

There are no contracts!
If you're not completely happy with your lessons, then I certainly won't hold you hostage.  I want you to enjoy the guitar and have a positive learning experience.  If I'm not the teacher who fits your needs, then I want you to find a teacher who does.

My studio is located at the J.A.M. Music Conservatory located at 1006 Depot Hill Rd. in Broomfield, CO.  Give me a call.  303-427-0547 or email me at info@jamconservatory.com
